Attorney ProfileA native of Buffalo, New York, Carol received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Buffalo with a double major in History and American Studies and was married shortly after graduation. When her four children were all in elementary school, Carol earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Buffalo, School of Law in 1982. After graduating from Law School, Carol went into private practice and became a partner in the Law Firm of Moriarty and Condon, which concentrated its practice in the areas of Matrimonial and Family Law. In 1993, Carol established a solo practice with offices at the Liberty Building continuing to focus her practice on Divorce and Family Law. Carol is a member of the Family Law Committee of the Bar Association of Erie County and the New York State Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker for professional and civic groups on topics related to Divorce and Family Law and has also published articles on Family Law. Carol A. Condon has been an active member of the Woman's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) throughout most of her legal career. After serving as a representative on the State Matrimonial Committee and the Board of Directors, Carol was elected to two terms as Treasurer and Co-Chaired the Matrimonial committee on the State level. Carol was elected President of the Western New York Chapter in 1995. On the local level Carol served as chair of the Pro-Bono committee and was instrumental in the early development of the Lawyer's for Economic Progress project. Carol also served on the Judiciary Committee, the Haven House project, the Legislative committee and the Board of Directors. In 1999, Carol was awarded the Achievement Award by the Western New York Chapter for her extensive efforts in furthering the goals of the organization. Carol also served two terms on the Board of Directors of the YWCA, served on the Week Without Violence Committee and the Public Policy Committee. More recently, Carol served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Woman Business Owners (NAWBO) and was elected President of the Buffalo Niagara chapter for 2006-2007. Throughout her legal career, Carol has participated in professional organizations to enhance her legal skills and has contributed to the community through her involvement with various civic organizations.
